Description
Feller Law Group, PLLC, a thriving boutique energy law and regulatory compliance firm, is seeking an Energy Regulatory Specialist. The regulatory team at Feller Law assists numerous energy industry clients with their market expansion strategies and ongoing compliance needs. Feller Law ensures that each client remains in good standing with the states, territories, and agencies where they do business. This position offers the opportunity to learn about energy law, public utility law, and the retail energy industry as a whole. This position reports to the Director of Regulatory Compliance. This is a remote position.

Energy Regulatory Specialist – Key Responsibilities

• Handle routine compliance filings and license renewals.
• Review client marketing materials to ensure compliance with state rules, including, but not limited to, website enrollment campaigns, door-to-door marketing, telemarketing, and sales materials (e.g., welcome packages, sales scripts, training manuals, website content, etc.), on a needs-basis prior to release and usage.
• Support clients and liaise with state agencies to handle responses to customer complaints.
• Prepare market entry applications across state agencies, RTO/ISOs (e.g., PJM, NYISO, ERCOT, ISO-NE), and utilities.
• Maintain compliance calendars for numerous clients, keeping track of upcoming filing deadlines, sending reminders and follow-ups with clients, and calendaring subsequent or new filing deadlines.
• Maintain key relationships with utilities, state commissions, and clients.
• Assist the regulatory team and clients with various corporate needs, including but not limited to corporate formation, trade names and DBAs, certifications of authority, etc.
• Organization and upkeep of numerous client files, folders, and related information management.
• Providing support to the Director of Regulatory Compliance on a multitude of projects and assignments.
• Tracking time and progress with assignments through internal systems for billing and project management.
• Miscellaneous administrative tasks to help facilitate an efficient and productive workflow environment.

Skills
• Strong analytical skills to assess regulatory impacts and requirements.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information.
• Strong attention to detail is a must.
• Well organized and able to multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
• Manage work priorities based on given deadlines.
• A strong, independent work ethic.
• Strong verbal, reading, and writing skills.
• Spanish language is a plus.
• BA / BS.
• Energy industry experience
