Are you a closer? We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Sales team and take responsibility for all aspects of sales and business development by discovering, deep dive qualifying and closing new clients, all while developing and managing assigned strategic accounts of Cognitive Energy Customers. To achieve this, you will be collaborating with Inside Sales, Client Success team and Operations to generate annual recurring revenue for the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

•        Prospect and close for opportunities within a wide range of industries using advanced sales and market penetration techniques
•        Sell business solutions consisting of Forecasting, Position Management, Settlements and pricing for both Electric/Gas prospects needing our POWWR suite of products and software
•        Elevate the need and urgency for commercial resolution within client organizations and drive deals to closure
•        Orchestrate internal and external resources to sustain and expand client relationships
•        Engaging clients at the senior-level and positioning high-ticket, complex data analytic solutions and their value to our client’s business needs
•        Mapping and executing strategic account plans, elevating and broadening relationships, and positioning Cognitive Energy as a trusted partner
•        Managing a predictable and sustained pipeline of opportunities
•        Fostering client contacts at all levels, including Forecasting and Risk Management personnel, Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, presidents, and other senior-level executives such as chief executive, financial, operations, and technical officers
•        Maintaining sales databases and information pertaining to assigned accounts and sales forecasts

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•        University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems
•        Ten years of direct professional services sales experience
•        Ability to understand and work within pipelines and forecast processes with accuracy
•        Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
•        Available to travel extensively (up to 50% or more)
•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We highly value if you have:
•        Risk Management experience in the electric and/or gas markets and management experience
•        Presentation experience selling to C level management and executives
•        Experience shortening the sales cycle to close deals
