Description
In this role, your duties will include supporting the Commercial Energy Sales department in a variety of duties, including data entry, accounts processing/onboarding, reconciliation of energy consumption, commission calculations and payment authorizations for outside broker and agent sales, and providing statements to various departments and ongoing account support. You should have the capability to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. This Commercial Accounts Support Specialist position is a career growing opportunity that gives you the chance to work with an industry leading commercial (and residential) energy supplier. This is a full-time position based in our Newark, NJ corporate office.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
•Entering and tracking customer pricing requests
•Contacting clients via email and phone to manage price quotes and program subscription documents
•Maintaining commission-related systems including entry of closed sales, tracking of client energy consumption, for brokers and agents, etc.
•Administering reports as instructed and make them easily accessible by distributing them
•Reviewing business and technical documents, online or in hard copy, to capture key data
•Performing data entry; scanning and copying documents, as needed
•Maintaining tracking logs for data and documents from point of collection to return/delivery
•Manipulating, validating, and formatting data in Excel or Access
•Performing spreadsheet analyses, and summarize and report on results of analyses
•Handling project administrative tasks as needed
•Building/running custom reports
•Other duties as assigned
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or relative work experience
•Previous experience in customer service/support roles
•Experience in commercial and/or residential energy supply sales and or accounting is a plus

Skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must be detail-oriented, flexible, analytical, and willing to tackle challenging work
•Professional demeanor
•Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is a plus
•1-2 years of previous payroll experience
•Compensation and commissions experience
•Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
•Great attention to detail
