Working in a team environment, the Manager will have a detailed level understanding of power markets which allows this individual to lead a team of analysts to accurately predict IGS’s wholesale and retail market costs.
Manage a team of analysts responsible for overseeing RTO/ISO settlements, cost curve prediction, and pricing models
Inform and provide analysis to the organization on macro level grid infrastructure changes and the impacts to the cost to deliver power
Manage the interaction with RTO/ISO committees and provide analysis and vision on the impacts of wholesale market rule changes
Development of models for forward curve projections
Communicate effectively with business partners and sales teams
Assist in educating the organization on new products, new markets, and pricing curve methodology.
Develop and maintain business relationships with utilities, RTO/ISO, and vendor contacts
Advanced understanding of wholesale market operations, settlements, ancillaries, and capacity markets
Advanced understanding of retail electricity markets and the interaction with distribution utilities.
High level technical skills preferred. Must be highly proficient in Excel.
Ability to successfully execute complex tasks simultaneously and make appropriate decisions in high pressure situations.

Minimum Education and Experience:
5-10 years’ experience in the wholesale or retail energy markets
